Booking & Appointment Systems
Availability calculated from services, staff, working hours and your own scheduling rules.
Availability calculated from services, staff and working patterns, not a fixed grid.
A service business was booking appointments in a paper diary and by telephone. Availability depended on which service was requested, how long it took and which member of staff could perform it, so only experienced staff could book accurately. Missed appointments were common because reminders were manual.
A customer chooses a service. The system has to know how long that service takes, which employees can perform it, and when those employees are working, before it can offer a slot. Once booked, the customer needs reminding, and the business needs the appointment history against the customer profile.
Booking no longer depends on a member of staff knowing the rules, because the rules are in the system. Customers can book outside opening hours, and reminders are sent without anyone having to remember.
